She holds a degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and spent her early career in various aspects of commercial real estate. Early on she worked in residential land development with Buffington Capital Holdings, design build for conference centers and hotels with Faulkner USA and as an analyst and asset manager with Wentwood Capital Advisors where she oversaw a portfolio of 45 LIHTC properties nationwide.
She moved into acquisitions and investment roles for real estate private equity funds at Virtus Real Estate and The Jenkins Organization where she oversaw acquisitions and investment activities for more than $100MM in acquisitions. She’s also a broker and was an Associate Director at HFF where she worked on the top self-storage brokerage team in the nation and over $1.5BB in transactions. While she still consults and invests in commercial real estate and is the broker on record for a property management company with more than $50MM in assets, Amber transitioned out of real estate full time 6 years ago.
She founded the ecommerce business, Brixton Banks where she designed and manufactured an ergonomic desk product and sells it online. She also held a VP position in high ticket sales and then headed onboarding at Cryoskin, a company that brings body contouring technology to the US from Europe.
This combination of experiences has been crucial in developing her skills when it comes to running a business both on and offline. Through every part of the value chain, she brings her insight to push organizations forward. She understands the modern online landscape incredibly well and can leverage new forms of marketing to drive traditional businesses of all kinds.
On a more personal level, Amber has acted as a mindset coach and mentor to many of the individuals she’s worked with and can help with setting goals, getting past overwhelm, and optimizing for greater productivity and creativity.
